What It Is
Dimensionally this is 55 mm, 2 mm, NBR 70, which is how it is told apart from the rest of the range. Öhlins specifies the compound by position: NBR where oil is the concern, FKM where heat is. Assembly grease matters — the wrong compound swells the seal and it fails early. The groove does half the work: the ring only seals if the groove is clean and undamaged.
