DescriptionThe whole story▼
Cylinder tube, inner 46/49/152.2, alu, Öhlins part number 26201-08. Tubes are replaced when the bore is marked; polishing them out changes the clearance and makes it worse.

- Diameter 46 mm
Where It Sits
Dimensionally this is 46 mm, 49 mm, which is how it is told apart from the rest of the range. Öhlins matches tube and piston as a pair during assembly, which is why the part numbers are specific. Corrosion inside a tube is terminal: it cannot be honed out without changing the clearance. Tubes are replaced when the bore is marked; polishing them out changes the clearance and makes it worse.
Genuine Service Part
Every part in this catalogue is one Öhlins fits itself during assembly and service. The part is identical to what Öhlins fits in production — same supplier, same specification. For a full rebuild, the seal kit plus the wear parts is usually the sensible order. The Öhlins exploded view names the number for each position; we can look it up if you do not have it.
Identifying the Right Part
Order under 26201-08. Where several sizes share a description, only the number separates them. The published dimensions are diameter 46 mm, length 49 mm — measure the old part against them if you are unsure. The tube carries the end cap threads, so damaged threads mean a new tube rather than a repair. The cylinder tube is the working bore: the piston runs inside it and every damping force is reacted by its wall.
Fitting and Setup Service
If you would rather not open the damper yourself, we can do it — we are an authorised Öhlins service centre and rebuild these units as a matter of routine.
