Cylinder tube 36/140 Al, Öhlins part number 67300-11. Length here is the working length, not the overall dimension, which is why two similar tubes are not interchangeable.
Key Features
- Öhlins part number 67300-11
- Original Öhlins service part
- Diameter 36 mm
- Length 140 mm
Function
At 36 mm, 140 mm it fits one position only; the next size up carries a different number. The tube carries the end cap threads, so damaged threads mean a new tube rather than a repair. Öhlins hones its tubes to a defined surface finish rather than simply to a diameter. Surface finish is specified in microns, because it decides how quickly the piston band wears.
Original Öhlins Part
Öhlins keeps service parts available for units long after they leave the current price list. Rebuilding to specification only works if the parts are to specification — that starts here. Where a number has been superseded, Öhlins states the replacement — we pass that on. If you are between two sizes, send us the measurement and we will check it against the catalogue.
Getting the Number Right
67300-11 is the Öhlins number for this position — the same one printed in the service documentation. diameter 36 mm, length 140 mm is what distinguishes this number from its neighbours in the range. Corrosion inside a tube is terminal: it cannot be honed out without changing the clearance. Length here is the working length, not the overall dimension, which is why two similar tubes are not interchangeable.
Fitting and Setup Service
Fitting service parts means opening a pressurised unit. As an authorised Öhlins service centre we do that here, with the right tools and a dyno check afterwards — just ask.
