Small parts are cheap until one of them is missing on a Friday afternoon.

Key Features

Öhlins part number 00131-08

Original Öhlins service part

Function

This position is identified by its number rather than by a dimension. A spacer that is a millimetre short changes the preload on a shim stack, and with it the damping. Öhlins lists these individually because a service usually needs a handful of them. Stainless where corrosion matters, hardened where load matters — the choice is made per position.

Why the Original

Öhlins numbers every position so a workshop can order precisely what it needs, not a whole assembly. Öhlins keeps service parts available for units long after they leave the current price list. Where a number has been superseded, Öhlins states the replacement — we pass that on. If the unit is already apart, compare the published dimensions with the part in your hand.

Getting the Number Right

00131-08 is the Öhlins number for this position — the same one printed in the service documentation. Where no measurement is given, the drawing position is what identifies the part. Thread size and length identify the fastener; substituting a hardware-store equivalent is not sensible in a pressurised damper. Circlips are single-use in practice: once opened, the grip is no longer reliable.

Fitting and Setup Service

Fitting service parts means opening a pressurised unit. As an authorised Öhlins service centre we do that here, with the right tools and a dyno check afterwards — just ask.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 00131-08

Category: Circlips

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/00131-08_7c2ffed8-1b52-48b8-8b10-3ddaaa0ff4a6.png?v=1788868693
