DescriptionThe whole story▼
Bushing 36/38.8/8 WP43, Öhlins part number 15481-02. Inner and outer diameter both matter; a bushing that is a little loose does more damage than none at all.
Key Features
- Length 8 mm
- Inner Diameter 36 mm
- Original Öhlins service part
- Öhlins part number 15481-02
- Outer Diameter 38.8 mm
Where It Sits
The published figures are 36 mm, 38.8 mm, 8 mm. Measure the old part against them before ordering. Bushings carry the side load in a damper or fork and keep the moving parts concentric. A bushing is a consumable and is replaced at rebuild rather than reused. Both diameters and the length are specification, not approximation.
Genuine Service Part
Öhlins is one of the few suspension makers that still supplies every position in the exploded view as a single part. This is an original Öhlins part, not an aftermarket equivalent — the tolerances are the ones the unit was assembled to. For a full rebuild, the seal kit plus the wear parts is usually the sensible order. We can supply the whole position from the drawing rather than the single piece if that is easier.
Identifying the Right Part
15481-02 is the Öhlins number for this position — the same one printed in the service documentation. Check inner diameter 36 mm, outer diameter 38.8 mm, length 8 mm against what you have removed; a close size is not the same part. Bushings carry the side load so the seal only has to seal. Play at the bushing shows up as a knock over sharp bumps.
Fitting and Setup Service
Fitting service parts means opening a pressurised unit. As an authorised Öhlins service centre we do that here, with the right tools and a dyno check afterwards — just ask.
