DescriptionThe whole story▼
Adjuster shaft 267.0/4.3, Öhlins part number 00566-77. Its length matches the shaft it runs in, which is why the numbers are paired.
Key Features
- Dimension A 267.0 mm
- Original Öhlins service part
- Dimension B 4.3 mm
- Öhlins part number 00566-77
Where It Sits
Öhlins gives it as 267.0 mm, 4.3 mm; nothing about that is approximate. A worn adjuster loses its clicks, and with them any chance of a methodical setup. A bent adjuster shaft binds and the clicks become uneven. An adjuster that turns without resistance has lost its detent; the setting is then guesswork.
Genuine Service Part
Öhlins supports its suspension with individual service parts, which is why a fifteen-year-old damper can still be rebuilt to specification. Suspension is one of the few areas where the original part is genuinely the cheaper decision. Service parts are ordered per piece unless stated otherwise. Order by part number — descriptions repeat across sizes, numbers do not.
Getting the Number Right
If the unit is already open, compare the dimensions below with the part in your hand before ordering 00566-77. Check dimension a 267.0 mm, dimension b 4.3 mm against what you have removed; a close size is not the same part. Compression and rebound adjusters are not interchangeable even when they look similar. Click adjusters work through a needle in a seat; the detent spring gives the clicks their feel.
Fitting and Setup Service
A damper rebuild is workshop work: it needs the unit dismantled, the shim stack rebuilt in the correct order and the gas charge reset. We are an authorised Öhlins service centre and do exactly that in house — send us the unit or ask us to fit the part with your order.
