DescriptionThe whole story▼
Adjuster shaft 202.5/4.3, Öhlins part number 00566-89. The needle tip is the wear part: once rounded, the first few clicks stop doing anything.
Key Features
- Dimension B 4.3 mm
- Original Öhlins service part
- Öhlins part number 00566-89
- Dimension A 202.5 mm
What It Is
00566-89 is the 202.5 mm, 4.3 mm version — Öhlins lists each size separately. A bent adjuster shaft binds and the clicks become uneven. A worn adjuster loses its clicks, and with them any chance of a methodical setup. Compression and rebound adjusters are not interchangeable even when they look similar.
Genuine Service Part
Öhlins lists this part under its own number in the service catalogue so a workshop can order exactly what it needs. Öhlins numbers every position so a workshop can order precisely what it needs, not a whole assembly. Order by part number. The dimensions below are the ones Öhlins publishes for it. Service parts are ordered per piece unless stated otherwise.
Getting the Number Right
If the unit is already open, compare the dimensions below with the part in your hand before ordering 00566-89. Öhlins states dimension a 202.5 mm, dimension b 4.3 mm for this number, and those figures are the deciding ones. The adjuster shaft runs inside the damper shaft and carries the adjustment to the piston. Detent balls and springs are separate parts because they wear before the housing does.
Fitting and Setup Service
We are an authorised Öhlins service centre, so you do not have to source the tools and the nitrogen: send us the damper and we rebuild it with the correct parts and the correct setting.
