Key Features

- Original Öhlins service part
- Dimension B 4.3 mm
- Dimension A 126.5 mm
Where It Sits
The published figures are 126.5 mm, 4.3 mm. Measure the old part against them before ordering. The adjuster knob is what the rider touches, and Öhlins colour-codes it by function. Compression and rebound adjusters are not interchangeable even when they look similar. Öhlins builds click adjusters with defined detents so a setting can be written down and returned to.
Genuine Service Part
Öhlins supports units that are decades old, which is why the spare parts list runs to thousands of numbers. An original part keeps the unit within its published specification; a near-equivalent quietly moves it. We can supply the whole position from the drawing rather than the single piece if that is easier. Tell us the damper's model designation and year and we will match the number for you.
How to Be Sure It Fits
The reliable route is the exploded drawing: find the position, read the number, order it — 00566-52 in this case. Check dimension a 126.5 mm, dimension b 4.3 mm against what you have removed; a close size is not the same part. Adjuster housings carry seals, and a leak there empties the damper as surely as a shaft seal. Hydraulic preload adjusters are sealed and pressurised; they are replaced as a unit.
Fitting and Setup Service
Öhlins recommends that its units are serviced by an authorised centre. We are one: rebuild, revalve and setup all happen in our own workshop.
