Brackets locate the damper or reservoir against the chassis and take the load in one direction only. A housing carries adjusters and their seals, so its bores matter as much as its outside. Öhlins anodises housings for corrosion resistance rather than for looks.

Original Öhlins Part

Buying the individual part rather than a complete assembly is what makes servicing an Öhlins unit worthwhile. Öhlins numbers every position so a workshop can order precisely what it needs, not a whole assembly. Order by part number — descriptions repeat across sizes, numbers do not. The exploded drawing for your unit names the number; if you do not have it, we do.

Identifying the Right Part

If the unit is already open, compare the dimensions below with the part in your hand before ordering 21648-08. dimension a 1 mm, dimension b 5 mm is what distinguishes this number from its neighbours in the range. Öhlins uses adaptors rather than making a separate body for every chassis. Mounting hardware is specific to the machine and the unit it belongs to.

Fitting and Setup Service

If you would rather not open the damper yourself, we can do it — we are an authorised Öhlins service centre and rebuild these units as a matter of routine.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 21648-08

Category: Adaptors

Dimension A: 1 mm

Dimension B: 5 mm

Thread: M34x1

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/21648-08_79a28397-b71e-4e42-8189-437bc24645a3.png?v=1788879849
