DescriptionThe whole story▼

Genuine Pinlock® 70 MaxVision™ anti-fog insert for the LS2 FF902 Scope II, Pinlock code DKS260, LS2 part 800400024. The same lens supplied in the box with the helmet — buy it as a spare, or to equip a second visor.

A Pinlock lens is a second screen sealed against the inside of the visor on a silicone bead, trapping a thin layer of air between the two. That layer keeps the inner surface above the dew point of your breath, which is why it does not fog when a bare visor does. It is physics rather than a coating, so it does not wear off. MaxVision means the lens reaches the edges of the aperture instead of leaving a fogged frame around a small window.

🔵 Two things to know. The grade here is 70, meaning roughly seventy per cent light transmission — a fraction darker than a bare visor at night, and a different specification from the XLT lenses used on LS2's more expensive helmets. And the DKS code is helmet-specific: DKS260 fits the Scope II and nothing else in this range. A lens also has a service life of its own; if a visor that used to stay clear now mists at the edges, the silicone bead has hardened and the lens rather than the screen needs replacing.
