DescriptionThe whole story▼

A number plate sees every stone the rear wheel throws, and so do its screws. Here is the TAR025: M8x40 flat-head screws in Ergal 7075 with matching conical-head washers. Anodising is what keeps the colour on an aluminium screw head. 7 anodised colours to match the rest of the bike.

Key Features

  • Ergal 7075, anodised
  • 25 g
  • Covers an RS 457 across 2 model years (2025 to 2026)
  • Screw size M8x40
  • LighTech asks you to check compatibility with your plate holder model before ordering
  • A stock LighTech item

Fitment and Compatibility

The fit of the TAR025 is decided by the holder, not by the bike. We list it against an Aprilia RS 457 (2025 to 2026) because that is the bike the holder goes on — but the screws have to suit the holder. One message with the holder model and the question is settled.

Before You Order

What the TAR025 does and does not include. What arrives is two screws and two washers. LighTech states it directly: check compatibility with your LighTech plate holder model before purchasing. The TAR025 suits the holders it was made for, not every tail tidy on the market. We hold LighTech as a stock range, so repeat orders are routine.

Two Screws, One Detail

A screw is the cheapest part on a motorcycle and the most annoying one to get wrong. Ergal 7075 at the back of an RS 457 means the screws will still come out next year. Nothing here needs to be taken on trust: the specification is LighTech's own.

Supplied As

Delivered are the two M8x40 screws and the two washers of the TAR025. 7 anodised colours are available: Black, Blue, Gold, Green, Orange, Red, Silver. Documentation for German registration is not part of it — see below.

In the Workshop

The TAR025 is a five-minute job at the back of the bike. A drop of thread lock belongs on anything that sees vibration. We will fit it for you on request.

Approval and Road Use

Where the registration question stands. There is no ABE and no parts certificate in the box with the TAR025. For a road-registered RS 457, clarify with your inspection body whether a number plate holder and its hardware need documentation in your case.
