DescriptionThe whole story▼
Weight at the extremities is the weight worth removing first. The CARD1012 covers one part of a Panigale 1199 in glossy carbon and nothing else. LighTech lists it for a Panigale 1199. Made in Italy, like the rest of the range.
Key Features
- Covers a Panigale 1199 across 6 model years (2012 to 2017)
- Lighter than the standard component, according to LighTech
- Single item
- Listed for the Ducati Panigale 1199
- Glossy finish
- Clean with neutral detergents only — LighTech's own recommendation
Application
The CARD1012 is intended for a Ducati Panigale 1199 from 2012 to 2017. The fit comes from the mould, which is why the year matters more here than on a bolt-on part. Tell us the vehicle and we check the fitment before dispatch.
One Thing to Note
What the CARD1012 does and does not include. Quantity is not left open here: a single item, by LighTech's own wording. LighTech describes two mounting routes across the carbon range — silicone at the support points, or supplied screws. Check the box before you start on the CARD1012. Clean it with neutral detergents only — that is LighTech's own instruction for the carbon range, and it is there to protect the surface. Ask us if anything is unclear before ordering.
What Autoclave Carbon Buys You
What a part is made of shows up long before anyone reads the spec. With the CARD1012 the chain cover of a Panigale 1199 becomes a woven surface rather than a painted one, and LighTech puts the weight below that of the standard part. Beyond that there is nothing we would claim for it.
What You Get
The scope of the CARD1012: the chain cover itself. Where LighTech packs screws with the part, they are in the box. Nothing beyond the described part is in the package.
Fitting
The CARD1012 is a job for a cool bike on its stand. Check the clearance over the full steering lock once it is on. Fitting is part of what we do on site.
Approval and Road Use
On documentation, to be clear. We make no approval claim for the CARD1012: it arrives without German documentation. A cover or panel that replaces a part like for like does not normally raise a question, but your inspection body decides, not us.
