DescriptionThe whole story▼

On the MV Agusta F4RR 1000 (2013–2015), a higher-specification version of the F4 superbike, the JP ACCGP MV002 fits the stock bar clamp and switchgear without modification, shortening the throttle's rotation to sixty degrees while leaving the inline-four's ride-by-wire fuelling exactly as MV Agusta calibrated it for the RR.

Key Features

  • MV Agusta F4RR 1000 (2013–2015)
  • GP Series ride-by-wire quick throttle with a sixty degree rotation angle
  • Progressive return spring, preload adjustable externally in three positions
  • CNC-machined from solid Ergal 7075
  • Plug-and-play on the motorcycle's own connector
  • Standard throttle assembly refits at any time

What Separates the RR From the Standard F4

The RR carries a higher level of specification than the base F4, the kind of bike bought by riders who already know exactly what they want from every component, including how far the throttle has to turn before the engine responds in full.

Fitting Without Touching the Switchgear

The horn, indicator and mode controls on the F4RR's bar stay exactly where MV Agusta mounted them, since the new throttle body is designed to bolt onto the existing clamp rather than ask for anything around it to change or be rewired.

A Reset for the Ride-by-Wire System

Once the shorter-throw grip is fitted, the control unit needs a short diagnostic procedure to relearn the throttle position sensor's new range, after which the idle and response both settle back to how the RR was always meant to feel from the factory.

Handling an Engine Tuned to Respond Quickly

The F4RR's inline-four is set up to respond without much delay to input, and a shorter rotation suits that immediacy, letting the hand ask for an opening in noticeably less distance than the standard throttle had ever required of it.

Machined From Solid Ergal Rather Than Cast

Starting from a solid billet of 7075 Ergal and milling it down to shape keeps the lever's feel from loosening over time, holding up to repeated, demanding use far better than a cast housing eventually would under the same conditions.

An Option, Not a Commitment

Refitting the factory throttle takes no more effort than the original installation, so an RR owner can try the shorter rotation for a full season of riding before deciding whether it earns a permanent place on the bike for good.
