DescriptionThe whole story▼
On the Aprilia Tuono 660 (2021-2026), the JP ACCGP AP009 cuts the ride-by-wire sweep to sixty degrees, so the twist from closed to wide open happens over a shorter arc, giving this naked twin the snappier, cable-like response many riders associate with older, simpler throttle systems.
Key Features
- Aprilia Tuono 660 (2021–2026)
- GP Series ride-by-wire quick throttle with a sixty degree rotation angle
- Progressive return spring, preload adjustable externally in three positions
- CNC-machined from solid Ergal 7075
- Plug-and-play on the motorcycle's own connector
- Standard throttle assembly refits at any time
A Twin Built to be Revved
The Tuono 660's parallel-twin likes being worked through the midrange on a twisting road, and a shorter throttle rotation suits that character, letting a rider open the gas faster coming out of a corner without the hand needing to travel as far to get there.
The Feel of a Cable, Minus the Cable
Older bikes with mechanical cables gave a direct, almost physical sense of how much throttle was being asked for. This unit keeps the Tuono 660's ride-by-wire electronics intact underneath but shortens the mechanical throw enough to recreate much of that same immediate, cable-pull sensation at the grip.
Three Stages, Set by Hand
A progressive return spring sits behind the new rotation, and its preload can be adjusted externally across three positions without opening the housing. A rider can firm it up for a trackday-style ride or leave it lighter for commuting, switching between the two in minutes.
No Splicing, No Guesswork
The throttle body uses the same connector and cable routing points as the factory part, so wiring stays untouched throughout the swap. Once bolted in place, the only remaining step is the usual electronic relearn so the bike's control unit recognises the new throttle position range.
Everything Original is Still There
Nothing about the stock throttle body is cut, drilled or discarded during fitment; it simply comes off the bike. That means the swap can be reversed later, which matters to an owner who might sell the Tuono 660 on and wants to hand it back in stock condition.
One Part, Different Riding Days
A naked middleweight like this covers everything from slow traffic to a fast Sunday loop, and the adjustable preload lets the throttle feel track that range rather than being fixed to one setting that suits only one kind of riding.
