DescriptionThe whole story▼
The JP ES 030 lifts the Sprint GT 1050's activated carbon vessel out and finishes the job properly.
Key Features
- Triumph Sprint GT 1050 (2011–2015)
- Removes the evaporative canister and its hoses
- Vents the tank through a proper fitting
- Closes the purge valve circuit
- Clears the space behind the engine
- Standard parts refit at any time
Triumph's Last Sports Tourer
A hundred and thirty horsepower from the 1050 triple, with hard luggage as standard and a chassis set up for distance. Nothing has replaced it in the range.
Twenty Litres and Panniers
The GT arrived with cases fitted rather than as an option, which tells you exactly who Triumph built it for and why owners keep them so long.
Space Rather Than Weight
The real gain is access. Rear shock adjusters, linkage bolts and exhaust hangers all become reachable once the assembly has gone.
The Circuit, Completed
Not silenced and not masked. The controller receives the answer it expects and nothing is stored for a later diagnostic session to find.
Refitted for a Sale
Putting the standard arrangement back before handing the motorcycle over avoids an argument and takes about as long as the original removal did.
Nothing Structural Comes Off
The bracket holds the vessel and nothing else. No part of the frame, the subframe or the fuel delivery is affected, and the empty mounting holes are the only trace left behind.
Nothing Needs Replacing to Refit
The clips are reusable, the hoses are undamaged and the bracket bolts back to its original holes. That is why keeping the parts is worth the shelf space.
A Component That Predates the Symptom
By the time an owner notices hard starting, the canister has usually been failing for a year or more. There is no gradual warning and no partial failure worth detecting.
A Component Older Than Its Bike
Canisters are made to a price and fitted at the start of a long production run. On a late example the design may already be a decade old.
