DescriptionThe whole story▼
Engineered specifically for the Yamaha YZF-R1 and R1M across the RN32, RN49 and RN65 generations, the I2M Chrome Lite transforms your cockpit into a fully certified racing data centre — combining a GPS lap timer, data logger and high-resolution colour display in one compact, plug-and-play unit. If your R1 is serious about the track, its instrumentation should be too.
Key Features
- Covers all Yamaha YZF-R1 and R1M variants from 2015 to 2026 — RN32, RN49 and RN65 — with a dedicated wiring adapter included as standard
- 800 x 480 full-colour graphic display remains crisp and legible even under direct sunlight at racing speeds
- 10 Hz GPS delivers precise trajectory mapping and speed measurement, recording up to 3 split times per lap for detailed sector analysis
- 12 freely configurable high-brightness alarm LEDs give instant visual feedback for shift points, lap deltas or any custom threshold
- 1 GB of internal storage accommodates up to 500 laps per circuit, with 20 pre-installed track layouts ready from the moment you arrive in the paddock
- CAN-BUS ready architecture taps directly into the R1's electronics, and data can be exported quickly via USB stick for post-session review
A Racing Dashboard Built Around the Yamaha R1
The original dashboard on the YZF-R1 and R1M is a capable road instrument, but on a track it leaves a great deal of analytical potential untapped. Marginal gains on a modern Superbike — a tighter braking point, a cleaner drive out of a chicane, an improved line through a fast corner — are almost impossible to quantify without structured data. The I2M Chrome Lite closes that gap without demanding the complexity or cost of a full professional data acquisition system.
The 800 x 480 colour screen is notably larger and sharper than the factory unit, and its brightness holds up through every condition a track day or sprint race can throw at it. Customisable display views let you configure separate layouts for paddock and on-track use, so the information hierarchy is always exactly what you need in any given moment.
Precision Data Acquisition for Track and Trackday
At 10 Hz, the integrated GPS module updates ten times per second — a refresh rate that captures the nuance of a fast lap rather than merely sketching it. Trajectory data overlaid with speed lets you compare braking and acceleration zones across sessions, while Best Lap, Ideal Lap and session summaries give you an honest picture of where time is being found or lost. Up to three split times per lap mean you can isolate individual circuit sectors and build consistency methodically rather than chasing a feeling.
Twenty pre-installed circuits mean the system is ready to record from the first out-lap. The 1 GB internal memory handles up to 500 laps per track — enough for a full season of intensive trackday use without ever needing to clear space mid-weekend. When the session is over, data exports directly to a USB stick for analysis in your preferred software.
