DescriptionThe whole story▼
Two noise figures, both stated: 97.4 dB with this link pipe fitted, and 95 dB with the optional noise damper added on top. A rider who knows the limit at their circuit can work out in advance which configuration gets through the gate.
Key Features
- 97.4 dB at 5,500 rpm, or 95 dB with the optional noise damper
- Titanium, weighing 1.64 kg
- Built around the Evolution Line S-K10E12-RC muffler and header set
- 192.9 PS in the complete system, from a standard 187.3
- 13.1 Nm more at 3,600 rpm, low in the range
- Twenty minutes to fit
- Closed course competition use only
It Belongs to a System
This pipe is made for one thing: to sit between the header set and the muffler of the Akrapovic Evolution Line S-K10E12-RC. That system is a separate and considerably more expensive purchase, and without it this pipe has nothing to connect.
The figures on this page describe the complete system with this pipe in it, not the pipe alone.
Thirteen Newton Metres at 3,600 rpm
The headline is the torque. Akrapovic records 13.1 Nm more at 3,600 rpm — an unusually large gain, and unusually low down for a superbike system. Peak torque moves only from 107.1 Nm to 108.2, so the shape of the curve changes far more than its highest point does.
Out of a slow corner in second gear, that is the difference this makes.
Five and a Half Horsepower
187.3 PS standard to 192.9, with the increase recorded at 8,800 rpm. On a machine already making 187 that is under three per cent, and it is the smaller half of what the system does.
The Resonator, and the Damper
The resonator inside this pipe cancels a band of sound rather than choking the exhaust, which is how the noise comes down without the power going with it. The optional noise damper takes it a further 2.4 dB, to 95, for circuits with the tightest limits.
Both figures are static readings at 5,500 rpm — the measurement a noise official takes at the gate.
One Point Six Kilograms
Akrapovic gives the fitted weight as 1.64 kg and does not publish what the part it replaces weighs. The comparison is not really available: this pipe replaces the Evolution Line's own link pipe, not a standard Kawasaki part.
Twenty Minutes
The quickest fitting time of any part in this group, because the system it goes into is already apart at that point. Swapping between the road link pipe and this one for a track weekend is a realistic thing to do.
The 2026 Machine
Kawasaki revised the ZX-10R and ZX-10RR for 2026. This pipe covers both, and it is one of the first Akrapovic track parts available for the new bike.
Road Approval
None. This product does not meet emission compliance requirements for street or highway use.
