The measured gains from the S-Y6SO12-HAPT are modest in number but meaningful on track. An additional 0.8 PS at 14,600 RPM and 0.8 Nm at 12,200 RPM sharpen the YZF-R6's already high-revving character, filling out the top-end pull precisely where a supersport machine spends most of its time at the circuit. The 7 dB increase in sound output — reaching 102 dB — transforms the R6's note from the restrained stock tone into the aggressive, crackling soundtrack synonymous with Akrapovic's World Supersport and Superbike entries.
