DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Akrapovic Racing Line for the BMW S1000RR K46 (2015–2018) is a complete 4-2-1 exhaust system that strips 4.7 kg from your motorcycle's kerb weight while unleashing a genuine 12.4 PS gain at 13,400 RPM. Built around a stainless steel V4A header and a conical titanium race silencer capped with a carbon end-cap, this system carries the unmistakable aesthetic signature of Akrapovic's racing heritage in every weld and finish.
Key Features
- Massive 4.7 kg weight saving over the stock system — from 10.4 kg down to 5.7 kg — transforming both handling and power-to-weight ratio
- 12.4 PS peak power increase, measured at 13,400 RPM, lifting output from 189.3 PS to 201.7 PS on a standard BMW S1000RR K46
- 10 Nm additional torque at 7,850 RPM for a sharper, more usable mid-range on track
- Richer exhaust note at 101.3 dB (6,750 RPM), a 2.3 dB step up from the 99 dB stock figure — race-bred and uncompromising
- Hexagonal conical race silencer in titanium with full titanium internals and a carbon fibre end-cap — every metallic component of the silencer is titanium
- Lambda connection retained on the stainless V4A header, allowing compatibility with the stock ECU and fuelling sensors
- dB eater not included as standard; compatible optional unit sold separately should circuit noise restrictions apply
Design, Finish and Heritage
Akrapovic has spent decades supplying exhaust systems to World Superbike and MotoGP teams, and the Racing Line carries that lineage directly onto your S1000RR. The natural titanium finish of the silencer body contrasts with the gloss carbon end-cap to produce a visual combination that looks exactly as purposeful as the performance figures suggest. The hexagonal profile and conical taper are not merely aesthetic — they reflect the internal geometry chosen to optimise exhaust gas velocity and scavenging across the rev range.
The 4-2-1 stainless steel header is constructed from V4A grade stainless, chosen for its resistance to heat cycling and corrosion while keeping weight in check before the gases even reach the titanium can. Where the stock system adds mass with multiple alloys and heavy heat shields, the Racing Line eliminates unnecessary material at every stage without sacrificing structural rigidity or longevity under sustained track use.
Track Performance
Every performance figure published for the S-B10R3-CZT was measured on a BMW S1000RR K46 running the complete Akrapovic Racing Line system. The gains of 12.4 PS and 10 Nm are not simulated or extrapolated — they reflect back-to-back dyno runs under controlled conditions. At 13,400 RPM, the S1000RR's inline-four is operating at the very top of its power curve, and it is precisely here that the optimised header primaries and free-flowing titanium silencer make their greatest contribution. The result is a machine that pulls harder through the top of every gear and rewards a committed, high-RPM riding style on circuit.
An optional exhaust bracket is available for riders who remove the pillion footpegs, providing a clean and secure mounting solution in a solo track configuration. This is detailed at the point of order.
