DescriptionThe whole story▼

Heat is what separates a circuit from a road. A BMW F750GS carries more weight than a supersport machine and slows from speed just as often on a track day, so the front end spends a whole session at temperatures a road ride reaches only briefly. Accossato offers a ceramic answer for that, the ZXC ceramic racing compound, pressed into the AGPA92 pad and listed for the F750GS from 2018 to 2024.

Key Features

  • ZXC ceramic racing front pads for the BMW F750GS, article AGPA92ZXC
  • Model years 2018 to 2024, front wheel
  • A ceramic mixture that Accossato recommends for racing
  • Intended for a front brake that stays hot for a full session
  • Two pads per box, one box for each caliper
  • Everyday materials in the same outline are listed under their own numbers
  • AGPP91 serves the rear wheel, DK006 is the disc for this bike
  • No approval papers on file; for competition use

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato describes this as its ceramic compound for racing, and that is the extent of what the manufacturer states, so it is the extent of what we will state. The reason a ceramic mixture appears in a pad catalogue at all is heat: what a racer wants from the material is a response that stays put while everything around it is glowing. On an F750GS, which carries luggage racks, a tall screen and a rider sitting upright in the airflow, the brake has plenty of energy to absorb at the end of a straight. Two pads make up one box and fill one caliper.

What a Full Session Does to a Front Brake

Twenty minutes of circuit riding leave marks that are worth reading. Pull the wheel afterwards and look at the friction face: an even, matt surface is what you want to see, while a glazed patch or a taper from one end to the other says the caliper is not floating as it should. Check the disc for a ridge at its outer edge and for any blue tinge, and run a finger over the surface for grooves that were not there in the morning. The fluid deserves attention too, since a hot system pushes the level up and a cooling one drags it back; a reservoir that is suddenly low has told you the pads have thinned. Let the bike stand with the front wheel free rather than clamping hot pads against one spot of the disc.

Fitment and Compatibility

For the front wheel of the BMW F750GS, built 2018 to 2024, Accossato lists the AGPA92 pad. The count of boxes follows the count of calipers on the bike, one for each, so check before ordering. Accossato also catalogues the DK006 disc for this model and the AGPP91 pad for its rear wheel, which means a complete brake overhaul can be put together from one supplier if that is the plan.

Road Approval

No German ABE is on record for the AGPA92ZXC, and no other approval document has been supplied with it. We therefore sell the pad for competition and closed-course riding.

Scope of Delivery

Two AGPA92 pads in the ZXC ceramic racing compound, packed as one front caliper's set.
