DescriptionThe whole story▼
The TC004 adds Accossato's GR003 off-road grip to the two-cable, four-stroke CrossThrottle body covered by the TC003, still sold without cables so the rider sources a matching pull and return cable separately. GR003 is offered here in seven colours, the same off-road grip fitted across Accossato's motocross-oriented throttle controls. The body keeps the same two-cable mechanism built for four-stroke cable routing, making this the simpler choice for anyone who has already decided on the GR003 grip and only needs to add cables.
Key Features
- CrossThrottle control, two-cable mechanism for four-stroke engines
- GR003 off-road grip included
- Grip available in seven colours
- Sold without cables
- Made in Italy
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato builds the TC004's body the same way as the TC003, two aluminium half-rings, anodised, with the two-cable mechanism matched to four-stroke cable routing, but fits the GR003 grip as standard rather than leaving the body bare. The seven grip colours on offer carry over from the rest of the GR003 range, so the choice is the same regardless of whether the grip is bought on the single-cable TC002 or this two-cable version. Like the rest of the CrossThrottle range, no internal cam system is described, so the stroke follows the cable set and grip rather than an adjustable cam.
The Four-Stroke Pairing With a Grip Included
Between the TC003 and TC004, the only difference is the grip: both share the same two-cable, four-stroke body, but the TC004 arrives with GR003 already fitted, saving a separate purchase for riders who know they want that grip. The cables themselves still need sourcing on either version, since Accossato sells the pull-and-return cable set for four-stroke CrossThrottle bodies as its own separate reference rather than bundling it with either listing. Choosing between them is really a question of whether the GR003 grip is already in hand.
Fitment and Compatibility
The TC004 is a universal throttle control rather than one built for a named motorcycle. Fitting it means confirming the handlebar takes a standard clamp, that the bike uses two-cable, four-stroke routing, and sourcing a matching cable set separately, since none is included here. Riders who already own a GR003 grip may prefer the cheaper, grip-less TC003 instead. Our garage matches it to four-stroke motocross and enduro machines with a two-cable throttle, and the individual bikes are named in the Fitment tab.
Road Approval
There is no ABE or parts certificate documented by Accossato for the TC004; registration rules depend on the country, so check before road use. The throttle must return to the idle position on its own as soon as the grip is released; check this after fitting, before riding.
