DescriptionThe whole story▼

Accossato's AGPP72 rear pad in the Sintered (ST) compound fits the Honda CRF450R from 2002 to 2026 and targets riders who rarely get dry tracks. When the rear brake of a motocross bike is dragged through puddles, clay and cold water lap after lap, a pad that keeps a steady bite is easier to trust. This set suits riders doing winter training, wet club races and all-season practice on the CRF450R.

Key Features

  • Rear pads for the Honda CRF450R, 2002 to 2026
  • Sintered (ST) compound, article AGPP72ST
  • Good wet grip, according to Accossato
  • Same pedal feel in cold and warm conditions
  • For all-season motocross training
  • Also fits the CRF450R-S of 2022 to 2026
  • One set of two pads for the rear caliper

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato states that the sintered compound holds a high, constant grip whatever the temperature, and that it works well when the disc is wet. The maker also mentions reduced fading through limited heating, slow wear and strong braking across its pad range. For a rear brake that is regularly submerged, that combination is the point.

When the rear caliper lives in the mud

On a wet motocross track, the rear caliper of the CRF450R is often buried in mud within one lap. Water gets between pad and disc, and a compound that loses its bite when wet would make the pedal hard to judge. The sintered set is intended to keep working in those conditions, from a frozen morning to a mild afternoon. Once the day is over, clean the rear caliper with water, let it dry, and check that the pedal returns freely. If the track is sandy and dry, the STMX or OR versions of AGPP72 may suit better.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato lists the AGPP72ST set for the CRF 450 R from 2002 to 2026 and for the CRF 450 R-S from 2022 to 2026, rear caliper only. The front pad is AGPA51, and discs DK012, DK107 and DK263 are also listed for the bike. Clean the piston before pushing it back, check the disc for wear, and pump the pedal until firm. Bed in the pads in practice before racing the CRF450R.

Road Approval

We have no test mark or approval document for this set and sell it for racing and competition, the setting a CRF450R is built for.
