DescriptionThe whole story▼
A light clutch is one of the reasons the current SV650 is recommended so often to riders moving up from a smaller machine, and a light clutch depends on more than the hydraulics behind it. The lever itself has to pivot cleanly and sit at an angle the hand can work all day, and a bent or sticking one undoes the easy character the bike is known for. Accossato lists the AGS45 for the SV650 from 2017 to 2024, a silver clutch lever in the original form.

Construction and Material Quality
The AGS45 is one of Accossato's original spare parts types, built so that a damaged control does not cost what an upgrade would. It takes the shape of the clutch lever fitted to the current SV650, keeping the reach and the pivot point the bike was designed around. Accossato states that the way these levers are produced leaves them more resistant after damage or a collision. The listed colour for this fitment is silver. No weight, material or dimension is published by the manufacturer, so none is stated here.
What a Light Clutch Needs From Its Lever
Riders who come to the SV650 from a smaller bike often comment on how little effort the clutch takes, and that ease is only partly down to the hydraulics; the lever has to move through its arc without catching, and it has to return fully every time without being nudged back by hand. A blade that has taken a small knock can still look straight and still bind slightly at one point in its travel, which a new rider is unlikely to notice as a fault so much as a day when the bike feels heavier than usual to ride. The fix is not complicated. Pull the old lever and look at the pivot bore for scoring before fitting the new one, clean and grease the pin, and check that the lever falls back to its rest position the instant it is released, with the bike on its stand and the bar on full lock in both directions, since a cable or hose can be routed differently from how it sat before a knock. Set the span to suit the rider's hand rather than leaving it wherever the last owner left it, and the SV650 gives back the light, easy pull it is known for.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato's AGS45 covers the SV650 from 2017 to 2024 and the SV650X from 2018 to 2024, both under this code, with the AGD262 matching it on the brake side for the same spans. Older machines take the AGS57. The same clutch lever also appears in our catalogue for the Aprilia RS4 125, the RS4 50, the Suzuki DL650 V-Strom, the GSR750, the GSX-S950, the RV125 VanVan, the RV200 VanVan and the SFV650 Gladius. Accossato's CNC levers for the SV650 are the EDF014, ESS248 and ESS650.
Road Approval
No approval papers accompany the AGS45, so neither a German ABE nor a test mark can be quoted, and the lever is offered for racing and competition use.
