DescriptionThe whole story▼
Two clutch codes cover the 125SX and their years overlap for most of a decade, which means the model year on its own will not answer the question for a bike built between 2013 and 2018. That is not unusual and it is not a problem, as long as nobody orders on a guess. The quickest route to the right part is a photograph and a short message, and it takes less time than reading a catalogue. Accossato lists the AGS14 for the 125SX of 2013 to 2022, a silver clutch lever in the original form.
Key Features
- Clutch lever of the original type for the KTM 125SX
- Accossato's entry covers 2013 to 2022
- Silver
- Left-hand side of the bar, hydraulic clutch
- An original spare parts type, developed by Accossato as an affordable spare
- Accossato reports increased resistance after damage or a fall
- A single lever
- No German ABE or test mark; offered for racing and competition
Construction and Material Quality
The AGS14 is a plain replacement, in Accossato's words an original spare parts type: the blade takes the form the 125SX was delivered with, the left hand finds the same shape, and the bike goes back to standard without anything having to be adapted. The range was created so that a broken control can be put right at a sensible price, and the manufacturer states that its production method leaves these levers more resistant after damage or a collision. Silver is the colour given. Accossato publishes no weight, no material and no dimensions, and this text does not fill the gap with guesses.
Send a Photo Before You Order
Overlapping codes are normal in spares catalogues because changes happen during a production run rather than neatly between seasons, and a maker that has confirmed both fitments lists both. For a customer the practical answer is to stop reading years and start looking at the bike. Take the clutch lever off the 125SX if it is still in one piece, or leave the stub in place if it is not, because the part that survives in the perch is the pivot end and that is the half which carries the information. Lay it on something plain and photograph it from directly above with the bars pointing straight ahead; a ruler beside it gives a sense of scale, and a second picture from the side shows the curve of the blade. Then send those pictures to us together with the model year, or with the frame number if the year is uncertain, and we will say which code matches. This takes a couple of minutes and avoids the two outcomes nobody wants: a return to process, or a lever that nearly fits and is discovered on a race morning. Where a bike has been rebuilt from more than one machine, which happens often enough with older motocrossers, the photograph is the only reliable answer in any case.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato gives the AGS14 for the 125SX from 2013 to 2022 and the AGS17 from 2009 to 2018, so the seasons from 2013 to 2018 carry both codes and the shape decides. On the brake side there is only the AGD316, which makes that half straightforward. The AGS14 is also listed with us for the Husqvarna FC 250, the TC 250 and the TE 300, so a rider with an orange and a white bike in the same van may be covered by one spare. Accossato's CNC levers for the 125SX are the B8283, the C7283 and the C7284.
Road Approval
No test certificate or approval document for the AGS14 was provided to us, so there is neither a German ABE nor a test mark, and we list the lever for racing and competition.
