DescriptionThe whole story▼
Accossato's RTM1 gives the 125 SX a stock-style pair of rear axle blocks across the same long 2000-to-2018 run covered by the screw-equipped RCM1, holding the rear wheel's position against marks cut into the swingarm rather than through a built-in mechanism. Both pairs bolt into the identical slot, so picking one over the other is a question of method, not fit.
Key Features
- Rear axle blocks for the KTM 125 SX, 2000 to 2018
- Accossato code RTM1, fitted at each end of the swingarm
- Stock-style design, no built-in adjusting screw
- Available in orange, black or silver
- Same part also listed for the Husqvarna TE 125, the Husqvarna TE 250 and the Husqvarna TE 300
- Accossato also offers a chain guide, two styles of swingarm slider and the screw-equipped version of this block for this bike
- No German ABE on file; built for off-road and competition riding
Construction and Material Quality
The RTM1 is sized to the 125 SX's own axle diameter and swingarm slot, leaving out the screw mechanism and relying on the swingarm's own markings for tension instead. Orange, black and silver are offered as a colour choice, with no bearing on how securely the block holds the wheel. A block that shows a clear bend against its mounting face after a heavy impact should be set beside its partner for comparison before being trusted again.
A Club Racer's Spare Parts Box
Many club-level 125 SX racers keep a small box of spares in the van for exactly the parts most likely to need replacing after a coming-together on track, and axle blocks sit high on that list since a hard crash can bend or crack one without the rest of the bike showing obvious damage. Because the RTM1 has no screw to seize up while sitting unused between events, it tends to be the version riders are happiest leaving in a box for months at a time, confident it will work exactly as expected whenever it is finally needed. Fitting it trackside, with the wheel already out for another reason, is a quick job compared with the alternative of missing the rest of a race weekend over a damaged block.
Fitment and Compatibility
The RTM1's own list matches the RCM1's for this bike: 2000 through 2018 on the 125 SX, since the two pairs share one identical slot on the swingarm. This stock-style design is also shared with the Husqvarna TE 125, the TE 250 and the TE 300. Fitment is the same whichever version is chosen; only the adjustment method changes. Checking the 125 SX's exact build year against Accossato's list remains the step worth taking first.
Road Approval
Accossato lists no German ABE for the RTM1, so the blocks are intended for off-road and competition use rather than for use on public roads.
