DescriptionThe whole story▼
Where the BEP01 takes care of one crankcase opening on the 350EXC-F, the SEP01 handles a second, separate location on the same casing, both listed for this bike's 2011-to-2017 build. Each is a small, unremarkable part until one goes missing or starts to weep oil around its edge.
Key Features
- Crankcase plug for the KTM 350EXC-F, 2011 to 2017
- Accossato code SEP01, fits a separate location on the engine casing
- Available in orange or blue
- Accossato also lists a second crankcase plug, BEP01, for this bike
- Same part also listed for the Husqvarna FC 450 and KTM 350SX-F and 450EXC-F
- No German ABE on file; built for off-road and competition riding
Construction and Material Quality
Built for its own fixed spot on the 350EXC-F's casing, separate from where the BEP01 sits, the SEP01 threads in cleanly without needing persuasion. Orange and blue carry no difference beyond how the engine looks once it's back together. A plug that no longer tightens down firmly, or shows signs of having been forced, is worth attending to before it loosens further.
A Second Plug, Easy to Forget
It's a natural habit to check the more obvious of a bike's two crankcase plugs and assume the other is fine by extension, but the SEP01 sits far enough round the casing that it's genuinely easy to skip during a quick look-over. Building both into the same check, rather than relying on memory, avoids a second trip to the parts shelf later. A used 350EXC-F bought without a clear history is a fair reason to check both properly at least once.
Fitment and Compatibility
2011 through 2017 is the span Accossato names for the 350EXC-F under the SEP01. A garage running the Husqvarna FC 450 or the KTM 350SX-F or 450EXC-F alongside this bike will find the identical plug listed for each of those too, all built around the same engine family. As with the BEP01, confirming the exact build year against that list before ordering is worth the extra minute.
Road Approval
No German ABE is on file for the SEP01, so Accossato lists it for off-road and competition use rather than for use on public roads.
Scope of Delivery
This listing covers one crankcase plug, in the colour you choose from the options above.
