DescriptionThe whole story▼
Accossato's AGPA51 front pad in the Off-road sintered (STMX) compound is made for dirt riders, and the Honda CRF250X from 2004 to 2019 is a natural candidate. This is a quarter-litre enduro machine that spends its life in sand, clay, dust and water crossings. The STMX version is for the owner who enters club enduros, rides hard special tests or spends a full day in the woods, and who needs a front brake that keeps working when the caliper is caked in whatever the track throws at it.
Key Features

- Front pads for the Honda CRF250X, 2004 to 2019
- Article AGPA51STMX
- Aimed at mud, sand, dust and river crossings
- For enduro days and competitive trail riding
- Two pads per box, one set for one caliper
- OR, ST and EV1 versions of AGPA51 also offered
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato presents STMX simply as its compound for off-road riders, and it forms the dirt-focused branch of the pad programme. As with the rest of the range, the maker points to restrained heat build-up that keeps fade in check, low wear with a long working life, and a strong braking effect. For a front brake that is regularly buried in grit, a mixture designed around dirt use is a sensible starting point.
An enduro day with the CRF250X
Picture the morning check: fresh fuel, chain adjusted, tyres set. Then the first special test through a sandy pine forest, a liaison along a stony track, a deep ford halfway through the afternoon and a final loop on greasy clay. Through all of that the front pads of the CRF250X are sanded, soaked and heated in turn. This is the use Accossato had in mind for STMX. After the event, wash the caliper with plain water, let it dry, and look at the pads before the next outing, because abrasive dirt shortens pad life on any compound.
Fitment and Compatibility
AGPA51STMX fits the front caliper of the Honda CRF 250 X from 2004 through 2019, the whole production span listed by Accossato. The rear caliper of the same bike takes the AGPP72 set. When changing pads, push the pistons back only after cleaning them, keep brake cleaner away from the tyre, and pump the lever several times until it feels firm. A few controlled stops will bed the new set in before the next ride on the CRF250X.
Road Approval
These pads come without an approval certificate or test mark on our side, so we sell them for racing and competition. Enduro competitors will find that fits their use.
Scope of Delivery
A box of two STMX front pads, one set for the single caliper it is intended for.
