Many owners of a Multistrada 1260 Enduro sign up for an off-road course sooner or later. A big adventure bike behaves very differently on gravel and sand than on tarmac, and a weekend with an instructor teaches more than a year of trial and error. Braking takes up a large part of such a course: how hard the front can be used on loose ground, how the rear helps, how to stop on a slope. For the front reservoir of this Enduro, Accossato lists the TS003 for 2019 and 2020, a CNC-cut aluminium cap with an anodised surface.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato cuts the TS003 from aluminium by CNC milling and anodises it in silver, gold, red, blue, black, orange or green. The cap is made for the original front reservoir of each motorcycle on the list; on the Multistrada 1260 Enduro it is swapped while the reservoir and the rest of the brake stay standard. When the old cap comes off, look at the rubber underneath. After a season of dust and vibration it may have hardened or collected grit at its edge, in which case it should be cleaned or renewed.
Ready for the Training Weekend
The exercises on such a course are hard on the equipment. Riders practise stopping on gravel again and again, sometimes with a fall at walking pace, and the front brake of a Multistrada 1260 Enduro is used more in one afternoon than on many road trips. Preparation at home makes the weekend easier. About a week before, look at the front reservoir with the bars turned until it sits level: the fluid should lie between the marks and look clear. If the owner's manual says it is due for renewal, have it done now, since a new cap is no replacement for fresh fluid. Fit the TS003 in the same session. Protect the tank and the fairing with a cloth, open the reservoir only briefly because the fluid absorbs moisture, and rinse off any splash with water at once. Tighten the cap gently and squeeze the lever several times before riding. During the course, a glance at the reservoir in the breaks is enough; after a fall, also check the lever and the cap for damage before carrying on. Back home, wash off the dust before anything is opened.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato names the Multistrada 1260 Enduro Touring of 2019 and 2020 for the TS003, which replaces the original cap on the front reservoir. We carry the same cap for the Multistrada 1200 Enduro, the Monster 1200 S and the Aprilia RSV4. Accossato's FP007 clutch master cylinder cover is also listed for the 1260 Enduro, and the two share six colours. Look up your version before you order.
Road Approval
There are no ABE or test papers for the TS003 in our files; accordingly we offer it for track and competition use.
