DescriptionThe whole story▼

Sherco's SEF 250 swaps the two-stroke engine of the SE range for a four-stroke, but keeps the same enduro-focused chassis and the same cockpit layout, so the front brake and clutch reservoirs face the identical risk of a knock whenever the bike tips over on a tight trail. Accossato lists a front brake and clutch reservoir cover for the SEF 250 built across 2012 to 2020, in blue or red.

Key Features

  • Front brake and clutch reservoir cover for the Sherco SEF 250, 2012 to 2020
  • Accossato code ABH01, covering both the brake and clutch reservoirs together
  • A direct swap once the original is scratched, cracked or faded
  • Available in blue or red
  • Same part also listed for several Beta RR, GasGas EC and Honda CRF models
  • A matching rear brake reservoir cover, PBM01, is listed for the same bike
  • No German ABE on file; built for off-road and competition riding

Construction and Material Quality

The cover takes the place of the SEF 250's original reservoir cover. Blue or red changes nothing about how the cover functions, only how the cockpit looks once it is on. A cover that has taken a crack from a fall, or simply gone pale and chalky with age in the sun, is worth pulling off rather than leaving on a bike that otherwise looks well kept.

A Small Job for the Winter Strip-Down

Riders who pull the SEF 250 apart over winter, cleaning and inspecting everything rather than just the big-ticket items, tend to notice small cosmetic parts like this cover once the bike is bare on the bench. It is an easy thing to replace at that point rather than refitting a worn original once the rest of the bike has been gone over properly. Doing the swap during a full strip-down, rather than mid-season, also avoids any risk of brake fluid finding its way onto fresh paintwork while the bike is half-assembled.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato names the SEF 250 built between 2012 and 2020 on this cover's own application list. The same cover is also listed for a run of other off-road bikes that share the reservoir layout, among them the Beta RR 350 4T, the GasGas EC 250 and the Honda CRF250R, worth knowing for anyone with more than one bike in the shed. A rear brake reservoir cover, Accossato's PBM01, is listed for the SEF 250 too, so the same colour can be carried through to the back of the bike. Checking the exact build year against the application list before ordering is still worth doing.

Road Approval

No German ABE is on file for this cover, so Accossato lists it for off-road and competition riding rather than for use on public roads.

Scope of Delivery

This listing covers one front brake and clutch reservoir cover, in the colour you choose from the options above.
