DescriptionThe whole story▼
The F3 800 gives MV's supersport triple more displacement to work with than the 675, and riders who move up to it often find themselves exploring corner speeds a notch higher than they're used to, which is exactly the kind of gap between ambition and current skill that produces a gravel-trap excursion. For the F3 800 built between 2013 and 2016, Accossato's PF034 front axle sliders are there for when that gap between ambition and current skill closes the hard way, mid-corner rather than in theory.
Key Features
- Front axle sliders for the MV Agusta F3 800, 2013 to 2016
- Accossato part PF034, one protector for each side of the front wheel
- Aluminium combined with plastic, finished in black
- Spacers, screws and further mounting parts in the kit, as stated by Accossato
- Meant to touch down first if the bike slides off the racing line
- Same PF034 part also listed for several other MV Agusta models
- No other Accossato schutzteil currently listed for this specific F3 800
- No German ABE on file; listed for racing and competition use
Construction and Material Quality
Each of the two PF034 protectors combines an aluminium body with plastic sections, finished in black and fitted one to a side of the front axle. Accossato packs spacers, screws and whatever else it considers necessary for mounting into the same box. The fitting geometry for this particular MV Agusta isn't published in what we have on file, so no bolt lengths or clearances are assumed.
More Displacement, Higher Corner Speeds
Stepping up from the F3 675 to the 800 brings a noticeable jump in mid-range pull, which tends to carry riders into corners a little faster than they're used to before their feel for the bike has fully caught up. That gap between ambition and familiarity is exactly where a gravel-trap slide tends to happen, and sliders give the front end something disposable to land on when the bike's new pace outruns the rider's current confidence.
Fitment and Compatibility
This fitment covers the F3 800 across 2013 to 2016 only, so confirm your exact year before ordering given the model's relatively short run. The smaller F3 675 and both the Brutale 675 and Brutale 800 nakeds share this identical PF034, a reminder that MV Agusta's supersport and naked ranges overlap more in their running gear than their styling would suggest.
Road Approval
Accossato supplies no German ABE or equivalent approval paperwork for the PF034, so we list this pair for racing and competition use on the F3 800 rather than for everyday road riding.
Scope of Delivery
