DescriptionThe whole story▼

The Street Cup is Triumph's café-racer version of the 900 cc Street Twin, with a flyscreen and a seat cowl. Like its sibling it stops with a single disc on the front wheel, which means one disc carries the whole of the front braking load. For the Street Cup of 2017 to 2021, the disc on Accossato's list is the DK203, a floating design with a black carrier and a 310 mm ring that can replace the original disc directly.

Key Features

  • Floating front brake disc for the Triumph Street Cup
  • Listed for 2017 to 2021
  • 310 mm outer diameter, 82 mm inner diameter, 4 mm thick
  • Interchangeable with the original disc
  • Black carrier
  • Minimum thickness marked on the disc
  • The Street Cup has one front disc, so one DK203 renews the front brake
  • No German ABE on record; for circuit use

Construction and Material Quality

A floating disc like the DK203 has two main parts, the ring that meets the pads and the black carrier that joins it to the wheel, with rivets in between that allow just enough play for the ring to expand as it heats. That clearance is a balance: too little and the ring cannot move, too much and it knocks about. Accossato says its racing work in Superbike, Moto2 and Moto3 went into getting it right. The supplier describes the DK203 as interchangeable with the disc Triumph fitted originally.

One Disc Does All the Work

On a bike with twin front discs, each disc handles half the job. On the Street Cup a single disc does everything the front brake does, so it heats up faster during a series of hard stops. That is no weakness for the kind of riding the bike was made for, but it changes how you look after it. Check the disc a little more often than you would on a twin-disc machine, and pay attention to its colour: an even grey band is healthy, while blue tints show it has been very hot. On a lively ride through bends, give the brake a breather now and then by using the engine and a touch more rear brake.

When the time comes to replace it, the job is simpler than on a twin-disc bike, and there is no left and right side to match. Fit new pads at the same time so both surfaces bed in together, and keep the first stops gentle while the pad material forms an even layer on the new ring.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato lists the DK203 for the Street Cup from 2017 to 2021. It replaces the single original disc on the front wheel, so one order renews the front brake of a Street Cup completely. The Street Scrambler of the same years uses the same disc on Accossato's list. Levers Accossato names for the Street Cup include the EDF014 and the EST333P.

Road Approval

The DK203 comes without a documented German ABE and without type approval, and is meant for circuit riding.

Scope of Delivery
