DescriptionThe whole story▼
The X Diavel carries its bulk low, with bodywork that sweeps down close to the ground along the flanks of the engine and swingarm. That styling looks purposeful parked outside a bar, but it also means the lower edge of the fairing is one of the first things to meet the tarmac if the bike ever goes over on a slope or in a tight manoeuvre. For the X Diavel 1200 and 1200 S of 2016 to 2021, Accossato offers the TP092, a pair of crash pads with a coloured anodised insert you choose to match or contrast with the bike.
Key Features
- Fairing crash pads for the Ducati X Diavel 1200 and 1200 S, 2016 to 2021
- Accossato part TP092, two pads in the pack, one for each side
- CNC-machined aluminium body with a colour-anodised insert
- Insert available in blue, green, black, red, silver or gold
- Matching screw cover available as an option in the same colour
- Fitting may call for drilling the fairing on some applications
- Also pairs with the PP069 rear axle sliders for the same bike
- No German ABE on file; listed for racing and competition use
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato machines the TP092 body from aluminium on a CNC centre, then fits a coloured, anodised insert into the face of each pad; the anodising is what gives the colour its depth rather than a painted layer sitting on top. Choose a screw cover in the same shade if you want the fixing hidden, or leave it off and show the fastener instead. Two pads come in the pack, meant to sit low on the fairing where the X Diavel is most likely to touch down. Accossato doesn't describe exactly how the pads reach the bodywork, and whether mounting hardware beyond the pads themselves is included isn't stated, so we neither promise nor rule that out here.
Drilling and Fitting on This Model
Accossato's own documentation is clear on one point that matters more than any colour choice: on some applications the fairing has to be drilled to take the TP092, and the maker's list doesn't say which models that includes. Before you order a set for your X Diavel, ask us whether this particular model and year needs the fairing pierced, so you know what the job involves before a pad and a drill bit are anywhere near your bodywork.
Fitment and Compatibility
This listing covers the X Diavel 1200 and 1200 S built from 2016 to 2021; later or earlier versions of the X Diavel may use a different fairing shape, so check your exact year against the current application list. The matching PP069 rear axle sliders are made for the related 1260 range, and both parts deal with the same basic risk on this cruiser-styled Ducati: something sliding across the ground at the point of first contact.
Road Approval
There's no German ABE or comparable approval document available for the TP092, so we sell this pair for racing and competition use on the X Diavel, not as a road accessory.
