DescriptionThe whole story▼
When the Brutale 675 arrived in 2012, it opened MV Agusta to riders who had admired the brand from a distance: a compact three-cylinder naked with the unmistakable Brutale silhouette and an eager, lively character. Light bikes with strong brakes reward a careful right hand, because the front end reacts to every change in lever pressure. The Accossato EDF015 replaces the Brutale 675's brake lever for the 2012 to 2017 model years. It is CNC-machined from aluminium, anodised in seven blade colours and adjustable for reach.
Key Features
- Brake lever for the MV Agusta Brutale 675, listed 2012 to 2017
- Fits the original MV Agusta master cylinder
- Reach adjustable for an early, gentle first touch
- Short blade in blue, gold, green, orange or silver
- Standard blade of approximately 138 mm in all seven colours
- Black hub, anodised aluminium, CNC-machined
- Rigid lever with no folding joint
Construction and Material Quality
Unlike a cast lever, the EDF015 is cut from aluminium on CNC machines, so its profile is identical from one piece to the next and there are no hidden voids inside. Anodising then gives it a hard, coloured surface: black at the hub around the pivot bore and the adjuster, and a blade in black, blue, red, orange, gold, silver or green. The blade is joined to the hub without a hinge, which leaves no joint that could develop free play.
A Light Front End Under Braking
On a light, short motorcycle like the Brutale 675, weight moves forward the moment the brake is applied. Grab the lever and the fork dives in one sharp movement, the rear goes light and the bike feels nervous; squeeze progressively and the fork compresses smoothly, the front tyre has time to take the load and the stop feels calm and controlled. The difference is decided in the first part of the lever's travel. That is why the resting position of the lever matters so much: if the blade sits where your fingers already are, the first contact can be gentle, whereas having to reach for it tends to turn the first contact into a grab. The adjuster on the EDF015 closes that gap. Riders who brake with two fingers can choose the short blade, which keeps the lever clear of the other fingers; the standard length is closest to the feel of the original lever, and the long one, in blue, gold, green or orange, adds leverage for a lighter squeeze.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the EDF015 for the Brutale 675 from 2012 to 2017. It fits the bike's MV Agusta master cylinder and shares its reference with several other MV models of the period, among them the Brutale 800 and the Brutale 1090. The matching clutch lever for the Brutale 675 is the ESM048, listed for the same years.
Road Approval
The EDF015 is sold for the track, as no German ABE is documented for it.
