Black oxidation is the understated option among the PZ015's CNC-machined finishes, suited to a caliper mounted at the left, right or rear of the bike where a quiet look is preferred over chrome. The caliper carries an 84 mm distance between mounting centres and a 16 mm offset, two 34 mm aluminium pistons, a dust seal and two AGPA42 pads fitted in the chosen compound, already in place when the caliper arrives.

Construction and Material Quality
Machined from a billet on CNC equipment rather than cast, as the die-cast version of the PZ015 is produced, this caliper passes through the same measuring checks before the black oxidation is applied to the finished body. The 34 mm pistons, the dust seal and the AGPA42 pads are fitted during assembly, with the compound, organic or sintered, selected at the point of ordering rather than fixed in advance.
Choosing a Pad Compound Before the Workshop Fits the Caliper
Because the PZ015's AGPA42 pads are offered in two compounds, organic for long service life and limited disc wear, or sintered for a consistent, high level of grip across hot, cold and wet conditions, deciding on the compound before the caliper reaches the workshop avoids a second order once fitting has started. Whichever position the caliper is going into, left, right or rear, a qualified workshop should carry out the fitting and bleed the system afterwards, since the brake is safety-relevant regardless of which wheel or side of the bike it ends up on.
Fitment and Compatibility
In our garage, the PZ015 is recorded against 41 models, see the Fitment tab, with the Aprilia TUONO V4 1100 FACTORY, TUONO V4 1100 RR and the Ducati HYPERMOTARD 939 and 950 among the 67 applications logged for this caliper. For a bike not covered by that record, the 84 mm mounting centres, 16 mm offset and disc thickness need checking, along with deciding which of the three mounting positions the caliper will take on that bike.
Road Approval
Accossato does not supply ABE documentation for the PZ015, so swapping in this caliper in place of the original equipment is subject to registration before the bike returns to the road, and this is worth confirming with a testing authority beforehand. Replacing a brake caliper is always safety-relevant work, so having it fitted and the brake system bled by a qualified workshop is strongly recommended.
