Two and a half kilos of titanium, designed with the people who built the championship. Spark's R&D department developed this system together with the Moto2 technicians whose engine won the 2020 world title — and the motorcycle it is for is the road-going replica of exactly that machine.
Key Features
- Full titanium system for the Triumph Daytona 765 Moto 2, 2019 to 2023.
- 2.5 kg complete.
- Grid-O silencer: full titanium, visible TIG welding, the 2020 Moto2 world champion case.
- Designed by Spark R&D with Moto2 technicians.
- Carbon heat shield included in the kit.
- Titanium from the head flange to the outlet.
The Right Exhaust for This Motorcycle
The Daytona 765 Moto 2 is a limited-run homage to a race series, and it comes from the factory with the tuning and the bodywork to prove it. What it does not come with is the exhaust that series runs.
This is that exhaust, or as close as a catalogue part gets: the full titanium system Spark developed alongside the Moto2 technicians, fitted to the road bike that carries the class's name. Very few aftermarket parts complete a motorcycle's own story this exactly.
Two Point Five Kilos, End to End
The figure is for the complete system — collector, link pipe and silencer. On a bike whose standard exhaust is a multi-piece stainless assembly with a catalytic converter in it, the difference is measured in whole kilos rather than grams.
Titanium is used the whole way rather than only in the easy sections. The header run is the hardest part of an exhaust to form in titanium and the part most exposed to stone damage, and building it in titanium anyway is what separates a replica system from a road system with a titanium silencer bolted on.
The Grid-O and the Heat Shield
The silencer is the Grid-O: full titanium, TIG welds left visible, and the case that took the 2020 Moto2 title. On a bike like this it is not an accessory choice, it is the matching part.
Spark includes a carbon heat shield in the kit. On a system routed this tightly that is not a styling extra — the shield sits between the hottest section and the rider's leg, and its absence would be felt on the first hot lap.
Why the Daytona Deserves the Whole System
Spark sells the collector separately, and on most bikes that modular route is the sensible one. Here it is worth arguing the other way. The system was designed as one piece with the Moto2 technicians, and the collector, link and silencer were dimensioned against each other rather than as a set of compatible options.
Buying it complete also settles the heat shield question. The carbon shield is matched to this routing; assembled from parts, the fit is your problem rather than Spark's.
Fitment & Compatibility
Triumph Daytona 765 Moto 2, 2019 through 2023. The collector on its own is GTR8815. Alternative link pipe and silencer groups for that collector are GTR8817ST with the Konix Evo, GTR8823ST with the 350 mm Force Evo, GTR8828ST and GTR8827ST.
Road Approval
None. Full titanium racing system with no catalytic converter and no EC certificate. Closed circuits only.
