DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Panigale V2 955 is a twin that rewards a rider who is locked onto the bike: the 955 cc Superquadro engine pulls hard out of slow corners, and the chassis wants decisive body movement from one side to the other. The Race Seats Wrap Tank Grip Pads EVO give your knees and inner thighs a defined anchor on the tank of the 2020 to 2024 V2, so the bars stay light in your hands while your lower body does the holding. One piece, finished in black, made for perfect looks and maximum grip.
Key Features
- One-piece wrap design that runs across the top of the tank from one knee zone to the other
- Textured black surface that gives leather and textile a positive hold
- Self-adhesive, supplied on a white backing film that is peeled off before fitting
- Race Seats lettering for a clean, race-inspired finish
- Covers the area where zips, buckles and knees normally mark the tank
- Supplied as a single piece, ready to fit
Why Grip Matters on the V2 955
Most riders feel the difference first on the brakes. When you stop hard from speed, your body wants to slide towards the tank and your arms take the load. That load travels straight into the steering, and a tense grip on the bars makes the front end less precise just when you need it to settle. With a grip pad in the right place, your knees hold you back instead, the arms stay relaxed and the V2 955 turns in with less effort.
The same applies on the exit. The Superquadro twin delivers its torque in a strong surge, and a rider who can clamp the tank with the legs keeps the upper body loose enough to let the bike find its own line. On a long track session, that difference shows up as less fatigue in the forearms and more consistent lap times.
Built Around a Clean Look
Race Seats designed the EVO pad as a single wrap rather than two separate side pieces. That keeps the line of the tank intact: one black surface, one continuous shape, no visible gap at the centre. Once fitted, the pad is black all over and gives the whole tank a finished, purposeful appearance, whether your V2 wears factory red or a custom livery.
Fitment and Compatibility
This listing is for the Ducati Panigale V2 955, model years 2020 to 2024. The 2025 Panigale V2 with the new 890 cc engine has a different tank and is offered as its own product. The product photos show the Race Seats EVO wrap pad design; the cut supplied with this listing is the one for the V2 955.
For fitting, clean and degrease the tank, let it dry fully and work at room temperature. Lay the pad on the tank first without pressing it down to find the correct line, peel the white backing film off, then fix it from the centre outwards so that no air is trapped underneath.
Road Approval
No approval is required. A tank grip pad is an ergonomic and cosmetic accessory and does not change any type-approved part of the motorcycle, so it can be used on the road and on the track.
