DescriptionThe whole story▼
Born in OZ's SBK racing department, the Piega wheel set brings genuine motorsport engineering to your Ducati Panigale 959. The five-spoke forged aluminium construction trims rotational mass precisely where it counts, rewarding you with sharper turn-in, more responsive handling and a ride that stays composed whether you are threading through city traffic or pushing hard on track.
Key Features
- Five-spoke Piega design developed directly by the OZ SBK Racing division — not an aftermarket adaptation but a purpose-built performance wheel.
- Forged aluminium construction reduces rotational mass, improving acceleration, braking response and directional agility compared to the standard cast wheels.
- Complete set: one front wheel (3.50 x 17) and one rear wheel (5.50 x 17), both machined as direct replacements for the Ducati Panigale 959 factory wheels.
- Ships with quality bearings, aluminium angled valves and spacers (where required), plus a dedicated rear sprocket carrier — note that the original Ducati rear sprocket does not fit the new carrier.
- Made in Italy to OZ's exacting quality standards, guaranteeing long-term reliability under repeated road and track use.
Performance on Road and Track
Reducing unsprung and rotational mass is one of the most effective ways to transform the feel of a motorcycle, and the Piega set makes that improvement immediately apparent. Steering becomes more intuitive at corner entry, the front end communicates with greater clarity under braking, and the whole package feels more alive at speed. The rigid five-spoke geometry maintains lateral stiffness even under the hard lateral loads generated during aggressive cornering, giving you a confident, consistent feel lap after lap.
Build Quality
OZ has manufactured racing wheels for MotoGP, World Superbike and Formula 1 for decades, and the same manufacturing philosophy flows into the Piega road and track range. Each wheel is forged rather than cast, a process that aligns the grain structure of the aluminium for a superior strength-to-weight ratio. The finish options — gloss black anodised, techno black anodised, and techno gold anodised — are applied with the same durability standards OZ applies to its competition products, resisting brake dust, stone chips and the thermal cycles of hard riding.
Fitment and Compatibility
This wheel set is engineered specifically for the Ducati Panigale 959 across all model years from 2016 to 2019. It is a direct bolt-on replacement for the factory wheels. A new rear sprocket carrier is included; the original Ducati rear sprocket is not compatible with it and must be replaced when fitting this set. Part numbers: P3102DU35 (front) and P6184DU55 (rear).
