Why the Rate Holds
Service parts stay available for years after a part number leaves the current price list. Every Öhlins dealer can re-valve the unit, because the shim stack is a documented, serviceable assembly. What the Rear Spring Decides

Fitting
Check the free length against the old springs before fitting — a sagged original often measures short. The job needs no special tools beyond a fork spring compressor and a measuring rod for the oil level. The springs come powder-coated and need no preparation before they go in.

Road approval: not applicable to the spring on its own. Öhlins issues approvals against complete suspension units, not individual springs.
