The reservoir takes the oil the shaft displaces as it enters the damper.

Key Features

Öhlins part number 00230-03

Original Öhlins service part

Where It Sits

This position is identified by its number rather than by a dimension. A separating piston or bladder keeps nitrogen and oil apart; if it fails the damping goes with it. A soft reservoir usually means the bladder has failed rather than the gas leaked. Reservoir caps carry the gas valve and are torqued to a specification.

Genuine Service Part

An original part keeps the unit within its published specification; a near-equivalent quietly moves it. Suspension is one of the few areas where the original part is genuinely the cheaper decision. The exploded drawing for your unit names the number; if you do not have it, we do. If you are between two sizes, send us the measurement and we will check it against the catalogue.

How to Be Sure It Fits

Order under 00230-03. Where several sizes share a description, only the number separates them. Where no measurement is given, the drawing position is what identifies the part. The reservoir holds the gas charge and the oil volume the damper displaces as the shaft enters it. Hose length is part of the installation and cannot be changed freely.

Fitting and Setup Service

Fitting service parts means opening a pressurised unit. As an authorised Öhlins service centre we do that here, with the right tools and a dyno check afterwards — just ask.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 00230-03

Category: Reservoirs

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/00230-03_a011a640-03d6-4fc2-b01c-bea298f8936e.png?v=1788871546
