One Component for Both
The right-hand switches sit inside the throttle housing. Renewing either means renewing both, which this unit does from a single machined body.
A Hundred and Forty-Five Horsepower
The S carried a higher state of tune as well as Öhlins suspension and Brembo M50 calipers. Ducati made the distinction mechanical rather than merely cosmetic.
Three Anodised Options
Black, red and titanium, converted into the surface. Against gold Öhlins, titanium acknowledges without matching and black simply disappears.
Sealed Elements
Contacts enclosed within the machined body. Ingress rather than mechanical wear is what finishes switchgear, and a naked bike offers the water a direct path.
A Machined Bore
The throttle tube turns cleanly in a bore that is cut rather than formed, which keeps the grip's feel consistent for years.
Cut From Solid
Ergal 7075 at roughly double the strength of the 6000 series used in most machined accessories. It holds a clamping face on a handlebar indefinitely.
Riding Modes That Differ
Sport, Touring and Urban with genuinely different power delivery in each. The Monster was among the first nakeds to make the idea something other than a bullet point.
Fabbro's Shape
The 2014 Monster was drawn to keep the original's proportions while accommodating a radiator. Getting a liquid-cooled engine into that silhouette was the hardest part of the project.
Original Plug
Pre-wired to Ducati's connector, so nothing is cut into the loom. The exchange is mechanical and entirely reversible.
Ride-by-Wire From the First Year
The liquid-cooled Monster used an electronic throttle from launch, which brought riding modes, traction control and a genuinely useful low-power setting to a model that had previously been about as electronically sophisticated as a bicycle. Everything the current bikes do on the handlebar started here.
