The 2004 to 2015 ZX-10R spans three distinct generations of Kawasaki's superbike. The JP PD KA064 replaces its right-hand switch with machined Ergal.

The Bike That Frightened People
The 2004 ZX-10R arrived with 175 hp in a chassis built around a 600 and a reputation it took Kawasaki years to soften. It was brutally fast and not especially interested in helping the rider, and it is remembered fondly by exactly the people who owned one and lived.
Twelve Model Years
The fitment covers the original, the 2008 revision and the 2011 bike that introduced Kawasaki's traction control. Those are three quite different motorcycles sharing one handlebar interface, which is convenient here and unusual across so long a period.
Old Superbikes Become Track Bikes
A 2011 ZX-10R costs very little now and will still embarrass most things on a circuit. That combination is why so many end up converted, and why their switchgear is usually the original, hardened, twenty-year-old assembly.
Universal Clamp Pattern
Brake upgrades are close to universal on these machines. The plate accepts both aligned and offset geometry, which matters when buying for a used bike whose modification history is not fully known.
Machined From Solid
Ergal 7075 cut from one block, with sealed switch elements. There is no clipped joint to develop play and no moulded seam for water to enter, which on a bike this age is the difference between a crisp control and a vague one.
Buying for a Used Bike
A twelve-year fitment means the motorcycle in question could be any of three generations. They share the switch mounting and not much else, so the registration year is worth checking, particularly on a machine wearing race bodywork that hides the original shape.
