Gold Suspension on a Naked
Öhlins at both ends and a matching steering damper, on a motorcycle with no fairing and 175 hp. The damper is less optional than it sounds when the front wheel is light and the bars are wide.
The Same Adjustable Frame
The Tuono inherits the RSV4's reconfigurable geometry: headstock, engine height and swingarm pivot. Very few owners use it, and the ones who do are generally the ones who care what the cockpit is made of.
Where the Money Went
Suspension, wheels, brakes and electronics were all specified upward for the Factory. The switchgear stayed as it was, which is why replacing it is one of the few visible improvements still available.
Staggered Holes
The offset pattern suits the original master cylinder clamp rather than a radial aftermarket unit. Getting this right before ordering is the difference between a fifteen-minute job and a return.
Four Finishes
Black, blue, red and titanium, anodised through the aluminium. Against gold fork legs, titanium sits closest without trying to match them and black is the option that draws no attention at all.
Vibration and Clips
The V4's firing interval works on plastic fasteners over years. A snap-fit cover eventually rattles; a body cut from one piece of billet has no cover and nothing that can loosen.
Direct Connection
Aprilia's own plug on the end of the loom. No coding, no adapter and no fault code, which on a bike with this much electronics is a genuine relief.
What Is Left to Change
Öhlins, forged wheels, Brembo and a full electronics package leave very little on the shopping list. The bar-mounted components are among the last places where an owner can make a visible difference without touching the way the motorcycle runs.
