DescriptionThe whole story▼
The left-hand street switch for the CFMOTO 450 SR: indicators, horn, beam and the display controls, in a machined Ergal body.

The Busier Hand
On a modern small sportbike the left cluster does most of the work: indicators, horn, high beam and the navigation of a colour display that on the 450 SR is genuinely worth navigating. It is a lot of function in a small housing, and the buttons sit close together as a result.
Separation Under a Glove
Where controls are packed tightly, the physical step between them is what the thumb reads. A moulded assembly relies partly on printed symbols the rider cannot see while moving. Machined relief works regardless of glove thickness, weather or light.
A Bike Used All Year
Small-capacity machines do a disproportionate share of commuting, which means they are out in conditions that a larger bike is spared. Sealed switch elements inside a one-piece housing are the specification that decides whether the indicator still clicks properly after two winters.
Where the 450 SR Sits
CFMOTO priced this motorcycle to undercut the established competition and then built it well enough that the comparison was not embarrassing. The result is a bike bought by people who intend to keep it rather than trade up immediately, which changes what is worth spending on it.
Original Connector
The unit plugs into CFMOTO's own connector. Nothing is spliced, no resistor is added, and the motorcycle's display and electronics behave exactly as before.
A Bike Worth Keeping
The 450 SR is not a machine most owners intend to trade in after a year. It is quick enough to stay interesting and cheap enough to run properly, which changes the arithmetic on parts like this one: the cost is spread over several seasons rather than one.
