The Track Focused F4
Ohlins, forged wheels and a higher rev ceiling. The RR is the version of the F4 bought by owners who ride it at circuits rather than displaying it.
A Track Argument First
The case is strongest where the throttle is opened and closed hard and often. On a long motorway run the shorter sweep is simply a different habit.
Why Sixty and Not Less
Below about sixty the hand runs out of useful resolution and small inputs become unusable. It is a chosen figure rather than the shortest possible one.
Reversible in Half an Hour
The standard assembly refits with its own hardware, and the reset routine is run once more. There is nothing to undo beyond that.
Storage
The standard assembly is plastic and will not corrode, but the connector will. A bag and a dry shelf are the whole of the requirement.
What Comes Off the Motorcycle
The standard throttle tube and its housing, the grip and the bar end. Four items, none of which is damaged in the process.
Nothing Structural
The assembly clamps to a handlebar and carries no load beyond the rider's hand. Its removal affects nothing about the steering or the controls.
Where the Fatigue Goes
Holding a wide open throttle on a long exit with the wrist rolled past comfortable is tiring in a way most riders stop noticing. Removing the last part of that rotation removes the tension. It is the thing owners mention first after a session.
Bar End Mirrors
Where mirrors thread into the tube rather than clamping to the bar, the new assembly has to accept the same fitting. It is the one accessory genuinely worth confirming before ordering, because it carries a load a plain weight does not.
