The JP ACC DU020 is the ride-by-wire quick throttle for the Streetfighter V4, machined from solid and built to reach wide open in a considerably shorter sweep of the hand.

Winglets on a Naked Bike
Ducati stripped the Panigale V4 and discovered it needed aerodynamic help to stay on the ground. The result is two hundred horsepower under a flat handlebar.
Ride by Wire
There is no cable pulling a butterfly here. The grip reports an angle and the electronics decide what the throttle bodies do with it.
Cruise Control
Where the motorcycle has it, the system continues to operate through the same inputs. The grip's mechanical ratio is not something it reads.
Reversible in Half an Hour
The standard assembly refits with its own hardware, and the reset routine is run once more. There is nothing to undo beyond that.
Rain
Less rotation for the same opening means less margin for a cold, wet hand. The riding mode helps; the mechanical ratio does not change with weather.
A Third of a Turn Saved
Where a standard assembly asks the hand to travel most of a rotation, this one is done in sixty degrees. The saving is felt at the top of the movement rather than at the bottom.
Fitting Alongside New Grips
The two jobs share the same disassembly, which makes doing them together the obvious choice rather than a coincidence.
What the Money Buys
No power, no torque and no lap time on its own. What it buys is a hand that stays where the rider put it through a corner exit and an arm less tired at the end of a session. Whether that is worth it depends on where the riding happens.
The Long View
Ten years from now the standard assembly on this motorcycle will have play in it and this one will not. That is the least exciting argument for the part and possibly the most honest one.
