Triumph's Return to the Middle
The Trident arrived in 2021 at a price nobody expected and reminded the market that a middleweight roadster does not have to be dull.
Eighty-One Horsepower
From 660 cc and three cylinders, with torque available from very low down. It is the amount of power a road can genuinely use.
A Euro Requirement
Secondary air is the least expensive route to a certificate on a modern triple. No manufacturer fits it because it improves anything a rider can feel.
Before the Dyno
Any fuelling work should start from an engine that is not admitting unmetered air, because every number taken afterwards inherits the error otherwise.
Heat Cycles, Not Mileage
The reeds sit at cylinder head temperature and flex on every closed throttle. They fail with age rather than with distance covered, which surprises owners of low-mileage bikes.
Emissions Equipment, Plainly
This is a delete. It does not clean anything up, it does not improve anything measurable and it removes hardware that exists for a legal reason. That is the honest framing and buyers deserve it.
Two Parts, Two Prices
Triumph's arrangement splits neatly, which means an owner can address the fault code now and the mechanical side later. Buying the kit is cheaper than buying both separately.
Older Triples Fail It Anyway
On bikes past a decade the solenoid itself gives up, and the resulting fault is identical to the one an owner creates by removing it. A fair number of these parts are fitted as repairs rather than as modifications.
Two Minutes Once You Are There
