A Nineteen Inch Front
Wire wheels and a raised exhaust give the Street Scrambler the look, and the geometry backs enough of it up to be usable on a gravel track.
Sixty-Five Horsepower
From the 900 cc twin, retuned for torque low down. It is unhurried by design and completely appropriate for what the motorcycle is.

Because the circuit is satisfied rather than suppressed, no code is logged and no dealer session is needed to clear anything afterwards.
Before the Dyno
Any fuelling work should start from an engine that is not admitting unmetered air, because every number taken afterwards inherits the error otherwise.
Why Not Just Block the Hose
Because the reeds stay in place and the ports stay open behind them. A blocked hose redirects the problem rather than removing it.
What Actually Happens on a Closed Throttle
The engine is still turning, the injectors have stopped and a good deal of unburnt mixture is being pushed into the header. Fresh air arriving there finds it and finishes the job at a temperature high enough to make the process audible. Removing the air supply removes the reaction rather than muffling it.
Torque and Patience
Nothing here is tight and nothing needs force. The fasteners holding the tank and the airbox go into aluminium or plastic, and overtightening them is the commonest damage done during this job.
On a Bike Being Sold
Refitting the original valve takes ten minutes and hands the next owner a motorcycle with nothing to explain. The parts are small enough that keeping them costs nothing at all.
Test It Cold
The system is most active during warm-up, so a cold start and a short ride is the honest test of whether the change has done what it should.
