The JP KS DU041 is a machined, sealed replacement for the Scrambler 1100's ignition block, aimed at owners who trailer the bike rather than park it.

The Big Air-Cooled Twin
More capacity, wider bars and the old two-valve engine. It is not an obvious circuit machine and the ones that go are ridden by people enjoying themselves.

The rating covers high-pressure, high-temperature washing. A switch sitting in the open above the front wheel needs it and most switches do not have it.

How the Engine Is Killed
The button breaks the ignition circuit exactly as turning the key to off did. Nothing about the way the engine stops changes.
What Plugs Into What
The motorcycle's own ignition connector goes into the new body unchanged. No wire is stripped, joined or extended anywhere.
Where the Grams Come From
A steel barrel, a lock mechanism, a bracket and a wiring pack. None of it light and all of it above the steering head.
Refit for a Sale
The standard block back in place makes a motorcycle ordinary again, which is what most buyers want. Twenty minutes plus the key.
The Original Key
Keep it with the block. A barrel without its key is worth almost nothing and replacing both is considerably dearer than this part.
What Fails on Cheap Switches
Water past the seal, then corrosion on the contacts, then an intermittent connection nobody can find. The rating on this one exists to prevent exactly that.
Race Harness Versions
Some models appear twice because a kit loom arranges the ignition side differently. Those are separate part numbers and the distinction is electrical rather than cosmetic. Fitting the road version to a race-wired machine does not work and is not a shortcut.
