A Faired Bike Traps What Gets Past the Guard
On a naked machine, spray that clears the mudguard carries on into open air. Here it meets the inside of a full fairing and stays there, which is why the underside of a SuperSport's nose section collects a crust that nobody sees until the panels come off.
The guard's coverage is the only thing setting how much of that arrives. Reproducing the original length rather than shortening it for looks is a deliberate choice on this part.
