DescriptionThe whole story▼
The ZX-10RR exists so Kawasaki can race the ZX-10R. It is built in small numbers, carries a race-prepared top end and a single-seat tail, and is bought almost exclusively by people who will put it on a circuit. For the 2026 homologation model Bonamici Racing has drawn an entirely new rearset, K025, replacing the K021 that served the 2021-2025 bike.
Key Features
- New for the 2026 ZX-10RR — the outgoing K021 rearset does not carry over to this chassis.
- Both shift patterns in one part number: reversed race shift for circuit work, standard shift if the bike also sees road use.
- Peg position adjustable so the riding position can be set to the rider rather than to the homologation specification.
- Machined in Italy by a supplier that equips Italian and world championship teams.
- Order by part number K025; the ZX-10R family has used several different rearset numbers over the years.
A Homologation Bike Deserves a Race Control Layout
An RR owner has already paid for titanium in the engine and forged wheels under it. The one thing Kawasaki cannot ship is a riding position matched to the individual rider, because homologation rules fix what leaves the factory. That is precisely what a rearset corrects. Raising and setting back the pegs increases ground clearance at full lean, closes the knee angle so the rider locks into the tank rather than hanging off it, and moves the brake pedal and gear lever to follow the boot instead of the other way around.
Reversed Shift as the Default
On a circuit the reversed pattern is standard practice: it keeps the foot beneath the gear lever through a long right-hand corner, where a standard pattern forces the ankle into an awkward lift. K025 supports it without a separate part number, and the pattern can be changed back if the bike is ridden on the road.
Fitment and Compatibility
Built for a single machine:

Not compatible with the 2021-2025 ZX-10RR, which takes the K021 rearset instead.
Road Approval
No ABE and no EC type-approval is published for this part or supplied with it. For track and race use that is irrelevant; for German road use it is a decision the rider makes.
